1. Device Compatibility
Smart home automation systems automate parts of your home's infrastructure. For example, you can connect a system to your lights, security, doorbell, heating, and cooling. 3. Wireless Hub Connections
Some smart home automation systems connect to your broadband router via an Ethernet wire. Your automation hub has to be close enough to your router to make the connection. Your router also has to have enough Ethernet ports to take this system and any other connections you need to use.
If this isn't the easiest or most logical place to put your automation hub, then look for systems with wireless connections. These hubs simply need to be in the range of your router to work, so you'll get more choice over the location of the smart home hub.
